Hi

In normal use you should not need to touch your host system, just keep
your work within your nest. I link to a location outside the nest to
give me more room. I also only use d:b for multimedia, not networked,
so there is no risk of anyone hacking in.

I do not know of modules for the above. There is a list of some at the
wiki at http://lab.dyne.org/DyneModules.

Remember that you can also install slackware packages or compile you own
software, even create your new modules. There are good instructions in
the manual, which should be on your disc, but is also on line at
http://dynebolic.org/manual/
