Oggetto: [dyne:bolic] R: VideoCard for linux - WAS can't boot with dyne 2.5.2 and subscribe tobugreport page !!!

Hi list this is my first post, I'm relatively new to the linux world.

I'm interested in "videocard for linux" problem.

I've got an ATI Radeon 9600. I can't install ATI proprietary driver on
dynebolic (if I remember, there was an issue with kernel module compiling).

I've got some question:

1 - What's the best choice for videocard in linux today?

2 - What's the dyne module with the correct kernel for dynebolic 2.5.2?
Which of this?
kernel-src-2618ck1d...>    09-Mar-2007 22:39     53M
kernel-src-2621mm2.dyne    12-May-2007 22:29     135M
kernel-src-26222dyn...>    22-Aug-2007 00:42     58M
kernel-src.dyne         02-Mar-2007 22:40     53M
linux-2.6.21-mm2-dyn..>    12-May-2007 22:02     14M
linux-2.6.22.2-dyne...> 22-Aug-2007 00:42     13M

3 - In the installation guide of some software/driver, in the prerequisites,
there's the specification that you must have installed "the correct
kernel-source, kernel-headers, or kernel-devel package" (taken from nvidia
site :-)
How can I reach this in dyne:bolic? (I've tried some of the modules above
without luck).

Thanks in advance

PS: I'm very happy to participate to the dynebolic/linux world.

ciao!
