hi,
modt flash disks have a fat partition on it you goto.
I had to work between parted & cfdisk
cfdisk provides you with a make bootable option.
make new partion (a linux one) and bootable ext2 or 3,
then format.
run grubconfig puting it on usb drive.
copy dyne over.
and nest too.(user pref)
set options in bios to 3rd boot device usb hd.
its a bit slow but works fine.
