First of all, sorry for my poor English. Writing a big e-mail in English is a
real challenge for me.

I work for a small company in Canary Islands. We develop free software for
other canarian companies and institutions. We try to use free software when
possible and to spread it everywhere in our environment.

Now we're preparing a classroom and we want a system to record the talks and
courses. We are ready to do a considerable investment in hardware. At this
moment, we had a Dell projector with a lot of inputs and a RGB output. What
we really want is to avoid any post-production task. We want a system do
to "real time" production, so the video is ready to be online in a few
minutes after the talk has ended.

We want to mix 2 or more microphones -one or more for the speaker(s), and one
for the audience- 2 or more camcorders and a screencast with the output of
the projector (RGB). We want somebody attending to be able decide in real
time which microphone(s) and video is being recording, Whe also want to mix
video so the screencast can be the main view with the person who is talking
appearing in a square in the screen and things like that.

So, finally, we want to mix, in real time, a lot of video -*RGB* and
camcorders- and audio sources, mixing two or more video streams
simultaneously -preferably with the "small square technique"- :-)
The resulting video should be a file ready to be distributed on a LAN or
Internet (after recoding and compressiong it, when needed). We need to avoid
any interactive post-production task.

Which combination of hardware and software do you recomend to acomplish this
task?

Thank you all very much in advance.
