I have two networked desktops, one is a homebuilt 500mhz AMD processor and
the other is an HP Pvilion that has been expanded. They share an Actiontec
Gateway supplied by Qwest for the DSL service and are connected by ethernet
cable. When I query with ifconfig, both Lumumba and Dhoruba report that
eth0 is "UP", here is the output:

I assume the fact that there is no line starting with "inet" has something
to do with the problem, but I am not knowledgeable enough to do more than
select the correct card and DHCP button in the config utility. Let me know
