Tito, Thanks for chipping in. The installation key and hardware
are not new and in the past I've successfully installed UEFI
without problem. The only thing new is a) The GPU chip on
motherboard died b) I inserted video a card into a PCIe. Slot.
The card requires a proprietary mvidia driver. That should not
prevent a boot of the disk without trying o start the X Windows
system. But the mere presence of the nvidia card apparently can
cause a problem even before trying to start the X windows
system.
