I did as you you sugggest and installed EasyOS to an external USB
drive. No problem booting it. This suggests that my problem is
with the netinst ISO. I have the dedaelus netinst on two keys,
but neither work.
When I try to install dedaelus with one of them and boot it after
the install, in the preamble ther is something about mismath if
irq flags. When I begin to install I'm told that the firmware
regulatory.db is missing and can install it from removable media.
Since I am ethernet rather than wireless I say no then to load it
from removable media. If I'm connectred by wireless, I have no
trouble getting network autoconfiguration to work without having
to load firmare.
I use guided partiting for entire disk with all files in one
partition. I make default choices.
