I will try to connect with a buddy who is better connected than I.

You might be able to use office personnel management kind of thing
too. Just did a little looking and what I'm seeing in that area seems
to be for larger organizations (assuming your choir is under 50 or so bodies)
and part of complex ERP suites.

I'm wondering if a couple hours with a pen writing out your needs
followed by your favorite RDBMS and you might have something.
