    As I've already mentioned, applications in /bin and /sbin have
never been statically linked in Debian. Of course they can be in
Slackware because you compile it all from source. Let me suggest to
build a static Busybox and install it on /bin and /sbin; it'll take you
less effort, and the concept has fun by itself, which Slackware hasn't.

    Anyway wait a little until Debian drops completely /bin and /sbin,
because I understand that many packages still rely on these being
symlinks to /usr/bin and /usr/sbin.
