Upon uprade to excalibur, my /usr partition is 100% full. While
the merge operation moved much into this directory, it is 28 G in
actual size. Should I have a problem?

# ncdu -x /usr/ tells me there is 26 Gb of files in it.

Is this size of /usr directory as the result of a merge expected?
If so I image many have my problem. But It may be that merge put
more into /usr than it should have.

I dont see any way to resize the partition short of a new install.
It is packed between other partitions of the whole system.
