Devuan cannot be synchronous with Debian releases. There is work to do
whenever Debian makes a change, either to verify that it has nothing to do
with systemd and can therefore be used as-is, or to find out what needs doing
to un-systemd-ify it. That takes time, and can of course only happen after
Debian has made the release.
Therefore there is always a delay between a new release of Debian and the
corresponding release of Devuan.
