Ada has one disadvantage: In 2025, it's next to impossible to get paid
to code in Ada. One of the big reasons people do Free Software is to
show off their skills in marketable languages. Therefore, few if any
contributors would be willing to code Free Software in Ada.
IIRC, Rust is the #11 most popular language and rising. It's a much
smarter career investment than Ada, regardless of which is a better
language.
I'll leave it to smarter people than myself as to whether Ada is better
than Rust or vice versa: I think they're both excellent for safety
critical software construction.
