Others already answered that question but the following caught my
attention

It looks like you ran that apt-cache invocation from a directory with an
iptables.sh file. Your shell interpreter expanded the "iptables*" to
the file name and passed that to apt-cache.

Best to quote your search patterns on the command-line.
