Can be checked with https://validator.w3.org . The Dillo browser also
checks.

Is there an automatic checker for XML?

HTML5 =? valid HTML5
https://validator.w3.org again?

You write polyglot markup; correct?

Understood.

When PostScript was new there was a claim that postfix syntax was more
efficient than others for direct interpretation. Then there was a
counter-claim that machines had become fast enough to ignore
interpretation time.

Burning a resource just because it exists isn't good engineering. So
w3.org might give Display PS or NeWS serious consideration.
Technically, the capability can be added to browser in parallel to
HTML5 although business interests might oppose it.

Thx,                        ... P.
