It is readily available as has already been stated and very well by others, But if we could not get lithium anymore, we would still have other battery technologies and chemistries that would serve. Some of the newer ones that are just coming into production are cheaper and use commonly available elements with no rare earth component. Chemists are getting better at this!

Commonly available reasonably priced items please - - - - need an
quote or a hard numbers source - - - not an assertion.

> Arguing that electric vehicles will not serve or cannot be successful is disingenuous because it ignores the facts. Some vehicles have been electric for 100 years. Right now, common electric family vehicles, how are the new standard in some countries and even where they're not, they're taking over the market because they're better, Over the life of the vehicle cheaper, They last longer, and they cost less to maintain on a regular basis. Owners report they are also more comfortable and more fun to drive. ( I suggest that some of my horror performance friends that like their big v8 might disagree with that.)

Love your assertions - - - in the USA the electric vehicle sales are
still under 9% of total sales - - - - if that's "taking over the
market" - - - - well I'm rotflmho!

"Common electric family vehicles" boy I would love to have you meet
some folks that live some 1600 km mostly west and a little north of me
in a cold snap (-45 C) last winter the chatter was really not quite so
positive.

Enough people in Florida and Texas cannot afford an EV and I wonder
what the government kickbacks for purchasers are going to be doing
after the election - - - you tell me!

Never have bought a car or vehicle because it was 'fun to drive'
always thought that was a sucker line.
A vehicle has a task - - - does it do it - - - good - - if not - - -
not good - - get a better one!
Emotions are great in little girl tea parties - - - business decisions
- - - not quite.

That's funny - - - better technology - - - some of the first cars were
electric - - -and they did real well.
The next round went to the steam cars and they also did real well.
Then someone figured out how to make cheap IC vehicles - - - this is
where we've been at for some 90 odd years.

Oh well - - - this post will likely be ignored because of course I
know nothing of what I'm talking about. ( 5 vehicles in the yard at
the moment all the way from a subcompact to a semi then there are the
other things with engines in them - - - )
