Sujet: [DNG] sudo-ldap package removal alternative
I have a network of Devuan machines configured with libnss-ldapd for ldap access. I also use the sudo-ldap package to store sudo configuration in the ldap database.

I see in the latest package description for sudo-ldap in Devuan ceres and Debian trixie that it will be removed after Debian trixie release. The suggested alternative is libsss-sudo but using that would require switching away from libpam-ldapd and using sssd.

Does anyone know any alternative solutions that might avoid using sssd? Or is it end of time for libpam-ldapd and we need to use sssd now?

Tom
