Don't know, actually. I just had visions of slotting my full-length
Radeon RX 6750 into a PCI bus, and having it resemble what I've come to
know as a "real" computer. :)

Yes, I have a row of (5) 2.5TB standard spindle drives in USB enclosures
that plug into a mainboard with a ZFS filesystem on top. Plenty fast
enough for 2nd tier storage. Probably time to upgrade...

Nice. In a better world, RISC-V/64 will become ubiquitous and ppl will
be swapping open-source/open-hardware back and forth without any
problems at all. Keep it as simple as possible without makeing it "too"
simple. Having as many as ~20 billion transistors on an i9 seems to me
like a recipe for disaster since no single human mind can grasp such a
magnitude in its entirety.
