ax understands WM/DE reading $ETCPREFIX/etc/ax/client
(for me $ETCPREFIX is /usr/local).
"client" file has a very simple syntax (you can simply modify it):
NAME_WMDE NAME_EXECUTABLE MULTIPLE_ARGS_EXECUTABLE
