That someone is 'me'. 8^°

I authored the screed describing my experience with the post '21
nails' Exim update, a disaster of which member Brad Campbell was a
recent victim.

Up until that time, I had no idea how complex Exim was and quickly
concluded that it was orders of magnitude more than I would ever need
in a workstation/desktop environment.

That being the case, I went looking for a lightweight alternative and
came across DragonFly Mail Agent (aka DragonFly BSD).

Seems it was designed for home and office use which was enough for me
but what had me right away were the BSD credentials and the small
footprint.

Installed in a jiffiy, worked out of the box without any issues,
delivers as expected.

Can't ask for more than that.

I use it along with another great example of *do one thing and do it
well*, a utility called 'coolmail' which sits on my desktop and
informs me of any incoming system mail.

Best,

A.
