That is why I am using uBlock Origin together with Local CDN.

And yes, of course they provide those services to gather data.

Nothing is ever for free with those companies. Nothing.

Then add all those "?gclid" (click identifier), "?fbclid`, … and "?si="
(Share id) URL tracking parameters¹ to evade recent cookie restrictions in
modern web browsers. Many people are sharing links with those without even
having an idea what they are doing. There is a special block list for most
of these.

And if you customize your browser too much, they will still track you for
its uniqueness.

Those companies are criminal.

It basically needs a multi browser approach to at least mitigate some of
this evilness. The current web is broken to a large extent.

Then Microsoft bought Github. Did you ever consider why? They host a large
percentage of the programming sources and other knowledge of mankind this
way. For example to feed it into AI or whatever… and who is going to
guarantee you that they won't be doing any of this with even private
repos?

If you ask me, these companies are completely void of ethical integrity.
At least if you go up the ladder in their management to their top level
management.

There is a good series of articles on the current browser situation by
Mike Kuketz. It is in German though. I can share the link to it in case
there is some interest. It might be possible to use Firefox Translate
which uses local models instead of sending the text to some translation
engine in the net to translate it. I do not agree with everything Mike
Kuketz writes. Especially regarding some other topics. But regarding
privacy, data protection and IT security he is quite good.
