Simon and Steve: From my point of view you are both very welcome here.

I suggest to let it be like this for now. You do not need to become best
friends (but maybe you will at some time in the future).

Agree to disagree is sometimes a very good option.

In times like this I like to remind myself that I do not have to like
everyone, but sure I can tolerate them, unless they specially cross my
boundaries.
