A lot of crap has entered/moved though the systemd sewer pipes since
then.
The point to which these *things* have evolved since then defies
belief, not to mention the measures taken by Debian devs to thwart
the survival of non-systemd distributions. eg: dropping support for
sysvinit
Distributions which, along with Devuan, are up to their nostrils in
that systemd crap.
