Wow, is it really true that we can have an open discussion about this
topics on this list? I almost do not believe it.

Of course it is off topic in a sense. As its not directly Devuan related.

However it should be on topic to work through what happened and what
people did during that time in affected societies. It is sad to see how so
many people do not want to ever look at this again.

But the wounds inflicted do not heal by themselves. And there are many.
