today I've experimented a little with this systemd free debian derivative.
I've downloaded and installed the XFCE flavor from:

https://www.pclosdebian.com/home/about/screenshots/downloads

After having verified the md5sum I've started the Live CD in virtualbox
and it boots straight to the xfce desktop with minimal configuration
(language and keyboard and timezone?).
On the desktop you find the icon of the installer and so I did install
it to a virtualbox VDI HDD.
The installer is easy and besides a strange password dance
(which could be fixed at reboot) there is nothing to see.
At reboot I've changed the root and user passwords
and was presented with a nice xfce desktop setup
almost identically to my own. I loved it.
I reinstalled ufw and gufw that where marked as autoremove
and installed openssh-server to better access the box
and linux-headers-6.7.12-amd64 to build the vbox-guest-additions.
This was rather a problem as 6.7.12 required gcc-13 which was not
available, so I installed linux-image-6.1.0-21-amd64 linux-headers-6.1.0-21-amd64
from the debian repo, to succeed I had to remove live-boot, live-tools , plymouth,
libplymouth5 and *qemu*, linux-6.7.12-amd64 linux-6.7.12-headers and
linux-klibc-6.7.12 . I also removed the live-installer-pclos.

It was rather cumbersome, but in the end it worked.

The system works nicely and looks good and was sturdy enough
to handle the bad things I did to it.
The main shortcoming Is the live-cd installer that at a first
look seemed to lack the fine grained and advanced settings
of the devuan installer, besides this it just works and the
desktop is more polished than devuan's.
