I have now produced a Devuan 'init-diversity' spin for anybody interested:

This comes with 5 different inits (sysvinit - s6-rc - s6-66 - OpenRC - runit), 4 of which boot from live iso, OpenRC won't boot live but will install & operate as intended while installed.
