- Postmortem: The usrmerge announcement preparation was exhausting.
There was much debating about language reminiscent of how many angels
can dance on the head of a pin and the result was about as uplifting.
It was so useless and painful I gave up about half way through the
process. There has to be a better way. Maybe those who have actually
experienced the technical issue(s) being described should be the ones
responsible for crafting the language. LeePen is a shining example of
how to do it right. If we must 'group-think' in the future, we should
explore other ways to do it because life is too short to go down
another rabbit hole like that. PS . . . FYI, not everyone thinks that
the published version was the best of all the iterations . . . How can
this dynamic be avoided going forward? Suggestions?
- (fsr) Maybe too many cooks? It seemed like it was going in circles,
so I backed off.
