thank you for your answer. Sorry, I don't agree to that there is
nothing to fix.

Looks like the topic usrmerge is highly uploaded emotionaly, I try to
neutralize my request to the installer. I am just a stupid happy user
of Devuan, I'd like to leave the discussion about the pros and cons of
usrmerge to the experts.

Well, the Daedalus installer in expert mode asks a question about the
application of an optional package. You as a user can agree or deny. As
a matter of fact the optional package isn't installed no matter if you
agreed or denied to the question.

Isn't such a response from the installer what one would call the
prototype of a bug description? I explicitly asked for the installation
of the optional package, and it did not happen? And this is not a bug?
Please explain.

For my convenience I am using German locale. I can confirm that there
is no error in translation. No matter if I answer Ja oder Nein, the
optional package never is installed.

I also been through a standard installation process which I did not use
for a long time. This use case does not bother the user with the
question for this optional package, and does not install it. Use case
ok.

As far as I understand Golinux summery on Dev1Galaxy usrmerge is sort
of unavoidable for the Devuan user.
