Package: grub-efi-ia32
Hi, as you are fully aware by the note that I see here:
https://devuan.rosset.eu.org/devuan-files/devuan_chimaera/desktop-live/README_desktop-live.txt (
https://link.getmailspring.com/link/BB8B1DCE-4E74-4EB7-83CE-CC9CEE051F9C@getmailspring.com/0?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fdevuan.rosset.eu.org%2Fdevuan-files%2Fdevuan_chimaera%2Fdesktop-live%2FREADME_desktop-live.txt&recipient=c3VibWl0QGJ1Z3MuZGV2dWFuLm9yZw%3D%3D)
and here (which was my entry point... i went to look for the chimaera one for being sure it didn't change)
https://files.devuan.org/devuan_beowulf/desktop-live/README.desktop-live.txt (

- If your hardware needs a 32-bit uefi bootloader with a 64-bit operating
system, install the grub-efi-ia32 package before running the installer.
This is true for both graphical and cli installers.
dpkg -i /grub-efi-ia32
issue is... the package provided in the iso, fails miserably on the post-install script
> grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of 'overlay'
tbh this is expected as / is mounted as an overlay given the usb live-cd mechanism you did put in place
happy to test workarounds, as I'm already fiddling with /var/lib/dpkg/info and the postinst script of the package to move forward and I'm not getting to a resolution... please just let me know how can I help
the installer is a dd of a Chimeara image a week before you announce its official release as stable
...the hardware is a Lenovo 100s that had a working setup of an old Kali Linux (I remember i tried several distros before landing there) ... now, I wanted to get Devuan on it
best,
GMS
