..yup, because it needs wireplumber. Install and start wireplumber,
then start pipewire (Or was it the other way around? I run too long
sessions.) then try alsamixer, which should show "Pipewire" both as
"Card" and "Chip" and one volume bar.

..because you threw out the pötter code we don't trust here and
installed unfinished that needs bug fix volonteers like yourself
to test out the bug fixes we propose you try, so we can get it fixed.
