Sometimes things like this are a good idea if only for completeness in
mailing list archives, especially for people doing searches through it
for such information.

I've done searches for my own problems and have come across threads
discussing it which dead end with "solved!" and no actual explanation,
so I personally appreciate followup or verbose emails.
