Off the specific topic but I think relevant.

Recently User479 posted at Dev1 about /.config, /.config/pulse and
/.cache being created on his devuan system.

With /.cache being recreated at boot if deleted.

The issue is *not* harmless: those are hidden dirs in system root.

In the end, it was not clear how they got to be there.
/.cache still gets created at each boot.

Seems to be a trend?
