    This is the word: *insanity*. Imagemagick is just great; it can do
things with your images you wouldn't even have thought of. And it is
able to handle all formats. It *can* do all that but it *won't*. Because
*you**are not permitted*.

    Question: who is permitted?

    Answer: nobody. Full stop.

    There is a high granularity of which things are permitted and which
are not, but, by default everything is forbidden. So congratulations for
having installed this wonderfull application on your own private
computer, but sorry: you are not allowed to use it, even on your own
private computer, with your own image files.
