I cannot get spamassassin (3.4.6-1) to configure. There are the
error messages:
The following partially installed packages will be configured:
sa-compile spamassassin
Setting up spamassassin (3.4.6-1) ...
insserv: script spamassassin: service spamassassin already provided!
update-rc.d: error: no runlevel symlinks to modify, aborting!
dpkg: error processing package spamassassin (--configure): installed
spamassassin package post-installation script subprocess returned
error exit status 1
Running dpkg-reconfigure on it did not help. It tells me
spamassassin is broken or not fully installed. I check dependencies
and all are met. An older version of spamassassin had a bug that
returned this error.
The script file for spamassassin is
/var/lib/dkpg/spamassassin.postinst
One person found that the log in shell for the user debian-spamd was
/bin/false. But aAt this point I am lost. What does a login shell for
user debian-spamd refer to? How do I change the shell to support log
in if log in is blocked?
