Well, don't use their systems then, it is of no use complaining.

If there are enought devs. here to help with this, then we have to
provide for something different.

I don't know how to be a devuan dev., but I can help with e.g.
kernels that can boot simple minitower and similar systems,
busybox init, and bootup with busybox.
Would anyone else like to join and work for it ?
