Hi Ricardo,

Your issue is common, with or without a BIOS battery (I have one). This
UEFI boot thing is a can of worms on the best of days. In my case, the
minute I remove a bootable DVD or thumb drive, the UEFI boot order
settings delete the setting for the DVD or thumb, so every time want to
boot to DVD or thumb, you need to go into the bios, and move the hard
disk later than the thumbs and DVDs.

It's my belief that microsoft specified UEFI to shut out other
operating systems. I really don't think UEFI makes your life or mine
easier. If you have a mobo that allows use of MBR booting and you're not
dual booting windows, it might be possible to switch to MBR if your root
drive is less than 2TB. But be careful, dinking with the BIOS settings
can be risky.
