libpcre3 was the old, and libcre2 the new lib, with -8 is for working on
8bit walues, also available is -16 and -32 (if you have wide
characters).

Yes, so it is:

/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpcre.so.3.13.3
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpcreposix.so.3.13.3
vs.
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpcre2-8.so.0.10.1

Apart from the strange numbering (which is upstreams fault),
the dependancy migration seems sane.
