I have it working on chimaera after patching the NVIDIA installer with
patches from arch:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-340xx/

Run The NVIDIA installer with --extract-only and apply the
000*-kernel-5.* patches, then run nvidia-installer from the extracted
directory.
