Thanks all. That went MUCH better. In fact, the entire installation went better than anything I've tried in the last week.
XRDP is up and running and most of my ansible playbooks for the other distros worked with just a few tweaks to package names. It was nice seeing ansible skipping over all the systemd handlers ツ
