waterfox is not in devuan repos, so it's not a devuan thing, you should
ask waterfox support for help..

in anycase, i'm running latest binary from antix repo and have no such
issues.. waterfox is running fine.. (ff being my premier browser)

maybe you should check .xsession-errors, running waterfox from terminal,
or even starting a new profile..
