Hi Tom,

I did install in BIOS mode if that's the better term.
The mobo is 5 or 6 years old and if I recall correctly things were very
much up in the air about uefi when it first came out.
I've had a few systems on this box and always in bios mode.

For whatever reason, Devuan installed correctly but grub failed. I
installed Kali Linux on another drive afterward and Kali installed grub
correctly giving me a choice of booting Kali or Devuan.

I'm happy to now have a desktop box that has not been fubarred by
Canonical. My laptop will follow sometime soon.
