I have managed to patch slim so that it detects consolekit at runtime and falls
back on pam session (and therefore logind) if that fails. It was more
straightforward than I thought. :)

There was also an suplicate unused quilt patch which I have removed.

I have a tree for review at https://git.devuan.org/LeePen/slim.git, branch
wip/devuan.

It works for me with either libpam-elogind or consolekit and the relevant
policykit packages.

Perhaps you could review and let me know what you think.
