I'm not a huge fan of gitlab and deplore feature creep. But alas, I am a
gui-girl. I have never connected to gitlab via terminal (that I can
remember). Last year KatolaZ tried valiantly to give me a basic git
lesson. Thud. Is there not a simple gui interface or is the gitlab
monster the only show in town?

Just to remind everyone that someone else would have to take over the
website. That would probably be Evilham who has helped me more than once
to navigate that hairball and can do what I do in a fraction of the time
and with fewer errors.

We would also need someone to monitor and vet the git user registrations
to eliminate the spammers who register almost daily. The big purge last
summer eliminated nearly 1000 spam accounts. And since early August to
the end of the year around 250 were dispatched. There have already been
50 in January this year. If something like the controls we have on the
forum can be set up, this monitoring wouldn't be so important. If that
can't be done, manual monitoring will be the only way to keep the db
relevant and free of noxious linkages and sleeper accounts.

In the end, I am one small voice in the scale of things. Besides I'm
looking at 77 so who knows how much longer I will even be able to
contribute to this amazing ride. Just do what will be best for Devuan.
If it suits me fine. If not I'll have more free time on my hands. :D
