## Old Business
- no buzz from the first conf announcement
- dev1 conf rewrite languishes on the pad.
@jaromil can we please finalize it SOON!
## Old Actions
## New Business
- discussion of esr's post on d1g:
https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=2537
### golinux
- should https://www.gnutransfer.com/en/index.php be added to
https://devuan.org/os/install ?
- Will ask targz for a VM to test their installation image
before adding
- I now have a working beowulf Xfce using LeePen's elogind/policykit
packages from experimental. YEA!
### KatolaZ
- configured config and (partial) data backup on Devuan infra
(rsnapshot)
will have all the instances backed up by EOW.
- working on piuparts for devuan
- needs: distro-info and distro-info-data
(patched the latter, working on the former, contacted the Debian
developer to have the patch accepted upstream)
- working to install and configure icinga2 for monitoring
- one the above is done, no more infra work for a while
(focus on beowulf)
- worked/working on refreshing several packages in unstable
(see separate pad)
- refreshed debian-installer -- beowulf can be installed
from the mini.iso
(N.B.: session management still needs policykit from experimental)
- need to work on reportbug for unstable/beowulf
### rrq
- Yet another gitlab upgrade done, taking it to 11.4.10.
The 11.5.x series is out since a while ago, with a couple of
use(less|ful) extensions for doing other things than software
versioning in your web browser. By projection, it might be prudent to
start the discussion about the next generation software versioning
platform. Still some year(s) to go hopefully, but in my view, gitlab's
practical use portion relative to "fluff" is diminishing.
### amesser
- elogind package is available but what about polkit
- in devuan git polkit "suites/experimental" is version
(0.105-18+devuan2.3) from Tue, 06 Feb 2018 (with support for elogin)
- in devuan git polkit "suites/unstable" is version (0.105-21+devuan2)
from Fri, 23 Nov 2018 (without support for elogin)
- in debian version for buster is 0.105-22 at the moment
- installing from unstable repos currently installs 0.105-21
(also without support for elogin)
- one can make desktop actions work on beowulf/ceres by forcing
install of 0.105-18+devuan2.3
- I think it should work out of the box, so elogind support needs
to be added to suites/unstable
## New Actions
- Create webpage content to walk new users through installer selection
(Rick Moen and golinux)
