I have an interesting problem with maxima/wxmaxima on ascii:

wxmaxima and maxima can solve this equation:

solve([x²+y²=r², (x-a)²+(y)²=p²],[x,y]);

but this equation is solved in maxima, but not in wxmaxima (gives an empty solution):

solve([x²+y²=r², (x-a)²+(y-b)²=p²],[x,y]);

Could somebody please try to replicate this result?
