I agree. Can somoene consolidate it into a markdown, pruning the
contents? then it can be reposted to dev1galaxy and/or even put on our
webpage under a new section for alternative init systems.

I agree with this, only sad by my experience that often private
websites disappear so good to have at least a backup with a link to
original.

another place to store it can be a private repository on our git
but not now... since it is under maintainance max until 00:00 CET
while we are transferring its hosting on the new infrastructure..
