Please post notes prior to the meet.

present: parazyd, rrq, blinkdog, golinux, jaromil, CenturionDan, tremon,
fsr, sherdlu

# golinux
- New wiki irc channel #devuan-wiki
- Made some updates to d.o. Evilham's set up is working well.
- Install isos till jessie EOL? - (~parazyd) yes.

# blinkdog
- Will attend; with audio/video!
- Honest Discussion: http://smbc-comics.com/comic/honest-discussion
- Wiki formatting
https://friendsofdevuan.org/doku.php/community:development:build_system_improvements

# parazyd
- attending
- updating ascii roadmap as i'm going
https://pad.dyne.org/pad/#/1/edit/L2WRkjoDnsWGCEJ0Zj8Xfw/yFwOTWDSr5gKOK2R7WksGa1U

# sherdlu
- welcoming him in the circle, nice introduction
- running debian since 1998 also on large clusters

# rrq
   - has access to newtonia and can install the ganeti on it
   - ((~parazyd) let me know if you need help. katolaz said debootstrap
wasn't working. i can help as i have it working on the cluster i've
     set up )

# jaromil
   - trying to setup a new vpn node with builders here (armel, armhf,
amd64, and amd64) but the setup doesn't work (vpn connects but
     network is not established)
   - need help from Daniel to figure this out (was setup on o'beardly)
   - newtonia: what to do? time is ticking as 50$ a month without use is
     a burden

# centuriondan
   - concerns about centralisation of governance in dyne
   - agreement on enlarging the lead group with a community process
   - agreement on enhancing the infrastructure and bringing it out of
     nextime's
   - no access to the vpn node is a problem because we cannot add CI
     nodes
   - newtonia: so far frustrating to reach consensus on a firewalling
     setup

# tremon
   - another debian refugee among us! welcome
   - sw dev and infra maintainance
   - working on a buildbot infra using gitlab CI for unit testing
   - hooking into the gitlab CI process for building
   - working on debian packaging for a new buildbot version
   - buildbot is an interesting new alternative to jenkins
     with less features

# PRIORITIES
   - VPN is the thing to unblock ASAP since that is blocking the build of
     ascii packages

   - how do we proceed on extending the leadership?
      - nominations? parazyd, katolaz, evilham
       - written nominations on the devuan-dev list
       - observation: extending to 5 with unactive 1 is de-facto 4
         governance so
there is the suggestion to elect 5 active people.
   - we should select the leadership by consensus

   - need to setup an rsync push of /devuan/dists from dak to pkgmaster
(final task for pkgmaster) this should be setup the same way
    /devuan/pool is being pushed
        - ((~parazyd) what is the time interval of (rsync) pushes for
          this job?)

# discussion, actions and round of presentations

- review and pick up tasks you can discuss/solve:
https://pad.dyne.org/pad/#/1/edit/L2WRkjoDnsWGCEJ0Zj8Xfw/yFwOTWDSr5gKOK2R7WksGa1U

- feel free to start a new thread on devuan-dev@ regarding to a task

   - jaromil & rrq:
ralph is granted root access to newtonia, tasked to be setup with
ganeti and to reason on consolidating the setup around the two
     servers on soyou

   - sherdlu:
       - notices the concern on the leadership impasse and agrees to
         extend the leadership
       - web presence sometimes is repetitive, list of releases for
instance in too many places as an outsider is confusing.
consistency on the website should be addressed as there are too
many places to go, no "central" place.

   - golinux:
confirms the confusion on information that sherdlu addresses, also
     on git for materials

   - centuriondan:
important to sign commits on git to enforce security
     cryptographically

   - blinkdog:
welcoming blinkdog! programmer with good experience in the field
chatting about code that can get attention: scorsh, d1h, package
     explorer...

   - fsr:
going to issue a new gpg key and a revokation of the old one

- tremon: see above
