I'm of course aware of that -- but that's irrelevant to what I was
saying, which is that it fails to qualify as an example of compiling a
firmware BLOB into a GPLed driver.

In any event, you seem to keep trying strenously to turn this into a
discussion about distribution. That's nice, but it simply wasn't what
we were talking about. I'm guessing that you wish to attribute to me an
opinion about that to argue with, but I didn't express or imply one in
this thread.
