Hallo Hector,

the command apt-add-repository queries your system for some information
to determine the right repository to add. As Devuan is still quite new
and its users are probably not so much into Ubuntu stuff (like those
PPAs), the command does not know how to handle the value "Devuan" yet.
The optimum approach to solve this would be to file a bug / feature
request against the software-properties-common package (which provides
apt-add-repository) to add Devuan support.

The problem that apt-get update 404s for "jessie/main" is, as you
already noticed, caused by the fact, that there are only repos for
Ubuntu. (Why it works for your "Debian Jessie" appears miraculous to
me.) As long as the repository provides only this one binary (resp. no
libraries that might get pulled into your system) it should be safe to
change the sources.list entry to a suitable Ubuntu version - I'd
suggest to start trying with some (probably not the latest) LTS edition.

NB: I'm not sure if I understand the purpose of this package - if I do
(in the very best case) I'd rather suggest to get into screen or tmux ;)
