Hi,
I created a list file to install the latest release of FreeCAD. Debian
jessie has it on backports repository.
https://packages.debian.org/jessie-backports/freecad
Package: freecad (0.16+dfsg2-1~bpo8+1)

$ sudo aptitude update
When I tried to install freecad 0.16,
$ sudo aptitude -t jessie-backports install freecad
It pulled and installed freecad 0.14 which I wouldn't want it. I pureged
freecad and tried again but it failed to install freecad 0.16 from the
backports repository.
freecad_0.14.3702+dfsg-3_amd64.deb
What I did was to download freecad_0.16+dfsg2-1~bpo8+1_amd64.deb from
Debian package site, then executed 'dpkg -i' command.
$ apt-show-versions | grep freecad
freecad:amd64/jessie 0.16+dfsg2-1~bpo8+1 downgradeable to
0.14.3702+dfsg-3
I'm curious how Devuan team manages packages in backports repository of
Debian.
Regards,
