Sorry, you're right, I misread your comment. Just goes to show why I could
benefit from Clearlooks. Anyway, sorry to hear that gtk3 is messing things
up for developers, though I shouldn't be surprised. I think I've worked it
out to a formula: Systemd+gtk3=Linux_Windows

Well, that at least is an advantage over floppy disks, which are
collectors' items now.

Sounds good to me!

I can only say that when I installed mainstream Devuan, I don't recall
having to manually select any firmware packages to get my wifi up and
running. Seems like the only thing I had to do was set up wicd - whatever
drivers were needed were already there. But I admit to ignorance on how
this magic is performed - maybe there are non-free drivers installed
without my knowledge. I would think that if non-free stuff is needed, there
should be some kind of dialog box that pops up to explain this and asking
if you want to proceed with installing that or not. I do agree that
closed-source stuff sucks, and it certainly better to avoid it if possible.
Not sure what else I can say about this.

I can almost guarantee that as long as I'm still breathing, I'm going to
keep resisting systemd. So I'm keenly interested in Devuan and Refracta,
and look forward to reporting new developments.

Thanks again for all the fine development work...I certainly couldn't do it.

cheers,
